Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, commission-driven Used Car Buyer to aggressively source and acquire pre-owned vehicles through auctions and direct-to-consumer channels. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a performance-based environment and is driven by earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase vehicles through wholesale auctions (in-person and online)
- Source vehicles directly from consumers using social media platforms such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and other online channels
- Actively respond to and generate leads through digital outreach and inbound inquiries
- Evaluate vehicles for condition, history, and current market value
- Negotiate purchase prices to maximize profitability
- Manage a pipeline of deals from initial contact through acquisition
- Stay up to date on market trends and pricing tools
- Coordinate transportation and intake of purchased vehicles
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive sales, buying, or auction purchasing preferred
- Strong understanding of used car values and the wholesale market
- Comfortable using social media and online platforms to source vehicles
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license required
Compensation:
- Commission-driven pay plan with strong earning potential
- Base salary + aggressive performance incentives
- Unlimited earning potential based on performance
