This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located in 2500 Heart Drive - Buncombe County with the Department of Health and Human Services.


Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $41.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and five years of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
