UTA Summer Camp Instructor & Counselors- Current Educators Encouraged to Apply

Job Description

This is an off-site role for UTA summer camps located in Aledo, Texas. We are looking for instructors to lead our camps and camp counselors to assist in the classroom. Every camp comes with it's own unique curriculum. We are looking for candidates who have teaching and paraprofessional or childcare experience.

Pay rate:

Lead Instructors: $30 an hour

Camp Counselors: $16 an hour

Who we are looking for

We are looking for strong classroom leaders with experience working with and teaching children. This individual must be familiar with techniques to engage campers and offer assistance in the classroom to provide an equal quality experience. Duties include being familiar with the provided lesson plans prior to the start of the camp to ensure each activity runs smoothly. Current educators are encouraged to apply.

July 13 - July 17 9 AM to 12 NSpace: The Final Frontier in Aledo (Grades 1-2)

July 13 - July 17 9 AM to 12 NSecret Agent in Aledo (Grades 3-5)

July 20 - July 24 9 AM to 12 NCar Racers Engineering in Aledo (Grades 3-5)

July 20 - July 24 1 PM to 4 PM Intro to Engineering in Aledo (Grades 1-2)

July 20 - July 24 9 AM to 12 NConceptual Engineering in Aledo (Grades 6-8)

July 20 - July 24 1 PM to 4 PM Fashion Designers in Aledo (Grades 3-5)

*Camp counselors are assigned to classrooms

Important to Note

- This is a 1099 position, we do not take taxes

- We are a net 30 institution, like most ISDs our invoices are paid 30 days from receiving.

- We hire Vendors, an Assumed name form will be required to fill out. Information provided at interview.

Qualifications

- Experience working with children
- Strong classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm

-previous camp experience a plus
- Experience in teaching or tutoring
- Knowledge of special education practices
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques
- Understanding of childhood development stages

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour

• Morning shift
