Summary:
The Utility Associate performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties while assisting with the preparation of food items, as instructed.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs a variety of cleaning and organizing activities to include, but not limited to:
- Scrapes, stacks and loads pots, pans, dishes, trays, silverware and glassware into dishwasher;
- Scrubs pots;
- Unloads dishwasher and stores contents in proper locations;
- Cleans counters, tables and chairs;
- Cleans ovens, grill, deep fat fryer and steam tables;
- Sweeps, scrubs and mops floors;
- Cleans walls, windows and ledges;
- Drains and cleans dishwashing machine.
2. Provides assistance to cooks, as instructed to include, but not limited to:
- May wash and slice vegetables;
- May carve meat and portion items;
- May wrap food items for serving or storage;
- May set up, tear down and replenish food lines;
- May gather ingredients.
3. Uses safety/sanitation procedures to protect self and others.
Other information:
1. High School diploma or GED is preferred.
2. Food Handlers Certificate within 6 months of hire.
