Key Responsibilities:
- Review and follow the commissioning procedure and drawing.
- Ensure complete adherence to the Permit to Work system and other safety requirements.
- Perform system walkdowns and assist in identifying any issues/problems in the system.
- Perform the leak testing, nitrogen purging, inerting and drying activities.
- Support for preparation of Leak Test Packs, mark-ups, red-line mark-ups, etc.
- Support the Commissioning Engineer in filling the Inspection Test Report (ITR) for the commissioning activities.
- Support the Subsystem Walk downs, test (SAT) and commissioning activities identified for the systems / sub- systems.
- Commission and operate steam generation units (Boilers), cooling towers, air compressors, dryers, nitrogen generation units.
- Commission and operate Sewage Treatment plant, water treatment units.
- Support in Fire Water system Testing.
- Comply with CONTRACTOR/COMPANY HSE requirements, to achieve a level of zero harm, accidents, or injuries and no defect or unwanted discharge nor leaks.
- Ensuring that safety aspects of work are followed in accordance with the overall Project HSE Plan.
- Supporting in clearing punch list items from FAT and commissioning phase.
- Complete where applicable associated pre-commissioning / commissioning certification in accordance with the requirements of the project Completions Management System and associated procedures
- Collect and label process samples for laboratory.
- Monitor process parameters and fill the Log sheets during the commissioning phase
- Update the Commissioning Foreman with daily updates and support for the preparation of the Daily Report.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma/ITI in Chemical/Process Engineering or B.Sc (Industrial Chemistry) or equivalent diploma from recognised Universities
- Minimum Seven (7) years’ experience in Water Treatment Plants/Boilers/petrochemical/chemical commissioning.
- Safety certificates including PTW, confined space, H2S awareness, gas testing, lifting operations, etc.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrable experience with current and relevant experience in all aspects of Mechanical equipment / systems pre-commissioning / commissioning within the O&G or related Industry.
- Ability to demonstrate good understanding of risks associated with working in Hazardous Areas.
- Good knowledge of O&G related QHSE safe working practices and procedures.
- Experience in operating Boilers, cooling towers, Water Treatment Plant, Chemical Injection Packages, Air compressors, Nitrogen units.
- Knowledge of Completions process and the ability to understand / complete related check-sheets
