Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Utility Operator to operate, maintain boilers for hot oil and steam generation, compressors, chiller unit and cooling towers and related systems to ensure the continuous supply of steam, hot oil, chilled and cooled water in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Boiler: (Fuel - Liquid petroleum gas)

  • Operate and monitor hot oil and steam generation boilers and other mechanical equipment related to these operations like heat exchanger, pumps and feeding tanks.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers and related systems.
  • Maintain logs of equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with boilers and auxiliary equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain DM water unit.
  • Operate and maintain gas station.
  • Control and maintain adequate stock of LPG gas, oil and water levels.
  • Monitoring the gauges, meters, and control panels and respond to equipment malfunctions or emergencies as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized boiler room and equipment area.

Chiller unit and cooling towers:

· Operate, monitor, and maintain chiller unit and cooling towers.

· Inspect equipment to ensure proper performance and conduct routine preventive maintenance.

· Monitor gauges, control panels, and system diagnostics to identify potential issues or irregularities.

· Start up and shut down chillers and cooling towers based on operational demands.

· Perform water treatment procedures and monitor levels in cooling towers and chilled water systems.

· Record readings of system performance (pressure, temperature, flow rates) and maintain operational logs.

· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

· Respond to alarms and emergency conditions, taking corrective actions as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
  • Valid Boiler Operator License.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating and maintaining industrial boilers.
  • Strong knowledge of boiler systems, steam generation, and combustion control.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic skills for monitoring systems and entering logs.
