Transdev in Palo Alto, CA is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker reports to the Maintenance Manager and is required to perform facility and vehicle servicing duties to support the operation. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $29.00 per hour– maximum $31.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the operations team by moving, fueling, preparing, and maintaining the fleet of vehicles used to provide service -daily.
• Perform light maintenance to frequented work areas, fueling stations, and related facilities so that they remain clean, tidy, & ready-for-use.
• Maintain accurate records of audited driver logs, yard-counts, & mileage odometer readings on a frequent basis.
• Communication; reporting any 3rd shift/overnight fleet concerns to the daytime managers.
• Cleaning vehicles interior and exterior.
• Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class C driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
• Must be able to work 3rd shiftand/or flexible work schedule, as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
• Valid CDL Class A or B; with airbrake endorsement \(CDL training and certification can be provided after hire)\

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Push and pull objects up to 30 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
