About this Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead strategy and delivery for Workforce Management (WFM) and Associate Technology across our store and distribution network. This role is critical to enhancing the day-to-day experience of frontline associates while optimizing labor planning, scheduling, and productivity in a complex retail environment. You will own the product vision and roadmap for solutions that enable large-scale operations, support compliance, and empower store leaders and associates with intuitive tools.
Main responsibilities:
- Define and drive product strategy for Workforce Management and Associate Technology platforms (e.g., scheduling, timekeeping, task management, mobile tools).
- Partner with Operations, HR, Finance, and Technology teams to align product priorities with business goals and labor strategies.
- Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.
- Lead the full product lifecycle from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement.
- Analyze labor, productivity, and user engagement data to identify opportunities.
- Champion associate experience through intuitive and scalable solutions.
- Manage integration with HRIS, payroll, and store systems.
- Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership.
- Champion the needs of customers, merchants, vendors, business teams, and stakeholders throughout the development process, ensuring that what is delivered meets the original goals and objectives of the project. Ability to operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity and provide solid recommendations.
- Identify unmet user needs and develops possible feature/functionality concepts that meet those needs.
- Develop supporting business case, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support new functionality concepts and new features, and sell the concepts to internal audiences through persuasive oral and written presentations
- Gather input from a variety of internal and external sources to define product concepts; responds to the needs of users throughout the development process; analyzes competitors and market trends; evaluates technologies; develops detailed requirements, feature definitions, implementation plans, and internal communications
- Participate & lead as needed in cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development, including deployment and post-deployment activities.
- Effectively influences and collaborates with others, presenting and securing approval from senior management and other key stakeholders, as necessary
- Responsible for communicating product solutions and benefits to customers and stakeholders; including knowledge transfer and training for on-going management of features
- Build intelligent capability and feature roadmaps using research, data, business context and learnings as input
- Be recognized as an expert - someone who has excellent judgment and whose projects have contributed significantly to the success of the organization
- Outstanding UX collaborator who can work in partnership with UX to define and co-create customer experience that solve customer needs and bring desirable outcomes for business.
- Write user stories as a part of the product development lifecycle that:
Directly support primary objectives of the project
Are appropriate in size for iterative development
Include clear and specific acceptance criteria
Consider dependencies on other stories and/or projects & initiatives
- Partner with merchants and CPG teams to evaluate allowances, costs, promotions, and display/space plans, ensuring strategies are grounded in real trade practices.
- Use Circana, Nielsen, Symphony, and retailer monetization platforms to curate market trends, develop hypotheses, and test strategies for price, promo, and display planning.
- Monitor performance against goals such as trade ROI, sales lift, basket mix, and profitability, sharing insights back to stakeholders.
- Responsible for communicating product solutions and benefits to customers and stakeholders; including knowledge transfer and training for on-going management of features.
- Flexible Career Path: Be prepared to adapt and expand into other areas of the retail domain over time, utilizing your core trade promotion expertise as a foundation for future growth within the company.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- 6–10 plus years of product management experience.
- Experience with WFM systems such as UKG/Kronos, Reflexis, or Workday.
- Strong understanding of hourly workforce environments and labor scheduling.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, cross-functional products.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in grocery, retail, or supply chain.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Operations Research, Computer Science, Management Science, Business Administration.
- MBA or master's in operations research/computer science/management science strongly preferred
- 7 plus Years experience in Product Management with proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing the software development process to build core supply chain systems and applications used by internal / external users.
- Demonstrates strategic thinking capabilities to align their team's product strategies with corporate vision to drive strategy planning, prioritization, and execution to deliver best-in-class customer experience and unlock business impact.

Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range.
