As a senior UX designer on the Commercial Lines Web Presence team, you'll drive the UX and UI design strategy for ProgressiveCommercial.com and other Commercial Lines web properties. This role blends strategy with hands-on execution, working cross-functionally with SEO/content, front-end development, and CX strategy teams to deliver on the product roadmap. You'll define and maintain design standards and processes and contribute to testing and personalization initiatives. You'll also champion accessibility and inclusive design practices to create engaging, user-centered experiences that deliver the information small business owners need to be confident in direct quoting.

This is a remote position with occasional travel to Corporate Headquarters (300 North Commons Blvd., Mayfield Village, Ohio) roughly three to four times per year.


Must-have qualifications

  • A minimum of seven years of experience designing user experiences for digital products or services
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of four years of experience designing user experiences for digital products or services

Preferred skills
  • Proven experience leading UX projects for multi-product, acquisition-focused websites
  • Familiarity with core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and standard methodologies for design-to-code handoff
  • Experience collaborating with SEO teams and understanding how UX decisions impact crawlability and organic search performance
  • Strong grasp of how design choices affect site performance, including techniques like lazy loading, image optimization, and responsive asset management
  • In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and compliance, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) guidelines and Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) roles


Compensation

  • $95,800 - $127,700/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
