Job Title: UX Researcher

Location: Mountain View, CA - Hybrid

Pay rate: $40/Hr.

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

Role Description and Responsibilities

We are looking for a mixed-methods UX Researcher to support our research for Google’s Devices and Services Product Area. You will use quantitative and qualitative research methods to design and execute research projects that establish how good the user experience needs to be. As a research associate on our team, you will be responsible for driving several research projects to completion. You will oversee the planning, execution, and data analysis for these projects and generate insights from the research. The perfect candidate is someone with a demonstrated ability to drive the research process. You will use your strong communication skills to collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to bring research studies to life, and advocate your work to larger audiences.

Required Qualifications:
Solid quantitative and qualitative research skills

MA/MS in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, HCI, or other fields emphasizing human behavior

2+ years of industry or lab experience working with xfn partners

Experience planning, designing, and running rigorous research experiments

Detail oriented

Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in psychology, human factors, statistics

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules and different projects
