Vacuum Truck Operator - Grease Trap / Cooking Oil Pumping

Job Overview
Join our team as a Class A or B CDL Vacuum Truck Operator specializing in grease trap and cooking oil pumping. In this role, you will operate vacuum trucks to efficiently perform grease trap pumping service for area restaurants and transport grease, cooking oils, and other liquid waste materials. Your expertise will ensure safe, timely, and environmentally responsible waste management while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vital service that keeps communities clean and compliant with environmental regulations. Other duties include delivering collection containers, general maintenance and cleaning of vehicles/equipment.

Duties

• Operate in a safe manner vacuum trucks equipped for grease trap cleaning, cooking oil pumping, and waste removal.
• Provide courteous client service
• Drive route schedules efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols during route driving.
• Work as a team with co-workers
• Maintain accurate logs of waste pickup and disposal activities, including route details and volume transported.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks such as fluid levels, tire pressure, and equipment operation to prevent breakdowns.
• Communicate effectively with management to ensure schedules are performed productively and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A or B with tanker endorsement) with experience operating vacuum trucks preferred.
• At least 2 years of truck driving experience.
• Experience operating specialized equipment such as vacuum pumps or grease trap cleaning machinery is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to commercial driving, waste handling, and environmental regulations.
• Strong driving skills with a focus on route efficiency and customer service excellence, along with the ability to communicate well with others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
