Job Description

The Warren County Property Valuation Administrator’s Office is seeking a systems-oriented engineer or software builder to help design and develop tools that improve how a modern assessor’s office operates.

This is not a typical government technology role.

The person hired for this position will work directly with the elected PVA to design practical systems that improve the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of property valuation and public service.

Our office works with large datasets, maps, aerial imagery, valuation models, and public records. We are actively building internal tools and analytical systems that help our staff serve the taxpayers of Warren County more effectively.

Modern development tools, including AI-assisted development environments and advanced statistical methods, are part of this work.

The focus of this role is straightforward: identify problems, design solutions, and build systems that work.

The Work

The individual in this role may:

• Design and develop internal software tools for valuation analysis and office operations
• Work with property data, GIS systems, aerial imagery, and public records
• Build utilities and automation tools that improve staff efficiency
• Prototype and test analytical or statistical approaches to valuation problems
• Use modern development tools to rapidly design and implement solutions
• Work directly with the PVA to turn ideas into practical systems used by the office

Many projects will begin as rough concepts and develop into working tools through experimentation and iteration.
