Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tax regulations, corporate accounting, and financial concepts. This role involves overseeing tax compliance, advising on estate planning, and managing audits while ensuring adherence to GAAP and SOX standards. The Senior Tax Manager will also play a crucial role in financial report preparation and interpretation, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Duties

  • Lead tax compliance efforts, ensuring accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Provide expert advice on estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law to clients.
  • Oversee auditing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Manage corporate accounting functions including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with financial services teams on mergers & acquisitions and investment strategies.
  • Prepare and interpret financial statements, reports, and analyses for stakeholders.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Quicken for efficient financial management.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations and maintain accurate records of debits & credits.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and provide insights into financial planning initiatives.
  • Stay updated on changes in securities law and tax legislation that may impact clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tax accounting with a strong background in public accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles and technical accounting standards.
  • Familiarity with financial sales concepts and asset management strategies.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis techniques including account analysis and financial report writing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
  • Experience with non-profit accounting is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly to clients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Pay: $90,286.57 - $108,732.22 per year
