Duties/Responsibilities Include:
· Leads Daily Management Process for the value stream. Develops team to capture reasons for daily “misses”, drives to root cause and implementation of fail-safe solutions. Measures continuous improvement success by long term trends and goal achievement.
· Manages and improves KPIs related to the value stream. Develops action plans to improve in order to achieve targets, tracks data, and reports monthly at review. Develops countermeasures as required by KPI process.
· Supports the Strategy Deployment process as required, including serving as “action plan owner” plus “task owner” as assigned by plans owned by others. Participates on monthly SD review process as required.
· Holds formal kaizen events to continually drive improvement.
· Manages all aspects of safety for the value stream.
· Responsible for managing / achieving operating budget and sales targets for all areas of responsibility.
· Keeps company commitments related to quality, delivery, and cost. Drives company initiatives related to growth and profitability.
· “Lives” the company values, leads others to do so, and addresses situations where company values may be jeopardized.
· Trains, develops, and evaluates staff. Ensures development of staff to meet business needs. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
· Directs Engineering and Buyer / Planner roles and ensures current materials are available and inventory turn goals are achieved.
· Develops new products and production processes to support company growth plans.
· Documents all processes, and supports the document control process throughout areas of responsibility.
· Liaison with members of the organization including sales, administration, finance and operations toward the dual goal of customer satisfaction and company profitability
· Other duties as assigned to support the overall business.
