Van Driver / Teacher's Assistant in North Providence

Learn. Teach. Repeat. Be the Team. Deliver Excellence. We are looking for a Van Driver / School Age Teacher’s Assistant for the Kids Klub site located in Greystone Elementary School

We are looking for a Driver of a 12-passenger van/mini-bus, driving students to and from the Before & After School program and engaging students in learning for the remainder of the shift.

A typical day for a Van Driver/Teacher's Assistant will include:

• Driving company vehicle to and from schools and/or field trips.
• Monitoring the behavior of all children in the vehicle.
• Operating vehicle safely at all times in accordance with all traffic and driving laws.
• Checking the condition of vehicle to ensure that everything is in working order.
• Working as a team to provide a safe, healthy, structured, and welcoming environment to grow and learn.

We have full time positions or part time positions (with flexible schedules available). Benefits vary for full time / part time positions.

Our programs are open Monday – Friday before school (typically 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) and after school (typically 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), schedules vary per program.

We also offer full day programs during school vacations, summer break, and when school is not in session.

Requirements:

We are willing to train the right person! Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working with School Age children.

We are looking for someone who has the following skills:

• A personal demeanor that is warm and friendly.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.
• Team-oriented and willing to work with others.

A Chauffeur License is needed for this position. If you are interested - we will pay for the right candidate to get it!

Education Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Able to engage in physical exercise with children (walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting).
• Visual and hearing acuity.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Other Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English, bilingual encouraged to apply.
• Must pass national criminal background/fingerprints check.
• Must pass Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Clearance Request (CPS).
