JOB SUMMARY:

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing, administering, and maintaining our organization’s compensation programs to ensure they are properly calculated, recorded, and paid-out and are aligned with business goals. They are responsible for modeling, administering, and executing variable compensation plans for the whole company. Working closely with Accounting, HR, Finance, and business leaders, this position provides data-driven insights while managing variable compensation plans for both sales and non-sales roles.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with business leaders to execute and administer variable compensation plans
  • Calculate recurring variable compensation earnings utilizing a variety of software programs and partner with Payroll to process the payments
  • Partner with Finance in annual budgeting & forecasting for all variable compensation
  • Support Accounting and Finance with compensation accruals and Journal Entries during month end.
  • Maintain compensation data including reports, dashboard, and analytics on compensation trends, budget impacts, and external benchmarking
  • Participate in compensation surveys and maintain relationships with external vendors as needed
  • Support special assignments as needed

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data: ability to manipulate, interpret, and present data (Excel, data visualization, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of variable compensation plans
  • Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex data to non-HR stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience in a multi-jurisdictional environment
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical or data visualization tools preferred
  • Proactive and can operate both strategically and tactically
  • Ability to serve as a trusted advisor, building relationships with HR, Finance, and business leaders

EDUCATION & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, 5+ years of experience with financial modeling of variable compensation plans, total rewards, financial analysis, or similar role
  • Certification such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is a plus
  • Experience with Accounting and HRIS systems and/or compensation software preferred
  • Experience with financial planning software preferred

LOCATION:

  • This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones
