VAT & Corporate Tax Specialist (Contract)

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for supporting VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, advisory, and reporting requirements during an initial three-month engagement, with a possibility of extension to six months. The resource will work closely with internal finance teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate tax compliance in line with UAE regulations and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

VAT Compliance & Advisory

• Prepare, review, and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Review VAT workings, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Provide advisory support on VAT treatment for transactions and business activities.
• Handle VAT-related queries, assessments, and correspondence with the FTA.

Corporate Tax Support

• Support implementation and compliance with UAE Corporate Tax regulations.
• Review financial data to ensure correct tax treatment and calculations.
• Assist in preparation of Corporate Tax filings and related documentation.
• Provide guidance on Corporate Tax impact, exemptions, and compliance requirements.

Review & Controls

• Review tax computations prepared by junior staff and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Identify tax risks and exposures and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and statutory requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with internal finance teams, external advisors, and auditors as required.
• Provide technical support and guidance to finance teams on VAT and Corporate Tax matters.

Key Requirements

Qualifications

• Qualified CA / CPA / CMA (or equivalent professional qualification).

Experience

• 5–7 years of overall experience in taxation.
• Minimum 3 years of experience at Senior / Manager level in the UAE.
• Strong hands-on experience in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and review skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and professional judgment.

Contract Details

• Initial engagement for 3 months.
• Extendable up to 6 months based on performance and business requirements.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
