VAT Senior Manager / Director

The Role:

VAT Senior Manager / Director, Abu Dhabi

Key responsibilities:

You’ll be responsible for leading the successful delivery of VAT engagements, taking a professional, practical and commercial approach and ensuring technical excellence. You will be required to give professional advice, both written and in person, on VAT impact on clients’ supply chain and financial and accounting systems, as well as identifying and addressing areas of VAT risk, advising clients on the VAT implication of transactions and assist them in complying with VAT regulations. Your role will also include building & maintaining relationships with clients and helping people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff.

● Ability to build strong client relationships and committed to delivery of exceptional client service

● Relationship management skills

● Sound technical knowledge in VAT through advising on complex VAT issues and establishing best practice

● Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral

● Strong coaching skills in developing junior staff and conducting trainings

● Dedicated, innovative, resourceful and analytical

To qualify for the role, you must have:

● A degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting; a CPA or similar certification

● Minimum 7 years of work experience in a professional services or professional tax organization dealing indirect tax matters

● Excellent verbal/written communication skills

● Strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others

● Independent in managing own workload, ability to work under pressure and to keep things moving and to juggle multiple tasks

● Excellent team player

● Experience working in multicultural teams
