VAT Specialist

A leading diversified business group in the UAE is seeking an experienced VAT Specialist to join its Finance team and lead VAT compliance, governance, and tax advisory activities across multiple business sectors.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

✔ Manage VAT compliance and reporting activities across the Group

✔ Prepare and review VAT returns in accordance with FTA requirements

✔ Develop and implement VAT and tax planning strategies

✔ Advise on VAT implications of business transactions and structures

✔ Manage VAT risk and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

✔ Coordinate with tax authorities, external auditors, and tax advisors

✔ Establish and enhance tax policies, controls, and governance frameworks

✔ Deliver tax training and awareness programs across the organization

🔹 Requirements

✅ Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or equivalent professional qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA)

✅ Tax accreditation is highly desirable

✅ Minimum 8 years of taxation/VAT experience, preferably within large corporate environments

✅ Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and FTA requirements

✅ Experience in tax planning, compliance, and risk management

✅ Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills

✅ Big 4 experience would be an advantage
