VCSU Student Library Associate

Title: Student Library Associate
Department: Allen Memorial Library
Reports to: Jacob Olson – Library Associate

Position Summary:
The Allen Memorial Library is looking for a part-time student employee to assist with library projects during the summer. The hours are flexible and the student is expected to work 10-20 hours a week between 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Opportunity to continue employment in the fall.

Qualifications/Responsibility:

• Must be a current VCSU student.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Performs library duties as required or assigned pertinent to the position.
• Must be detail oriented and abide by all University rules and regulations.
• Must maintain a positive attitude toward the position.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to move about; handling and shelving books.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push heavy book carts.
