Job Title: HSE Officer – Vehicle Safety & Mobilization Support (IMMEDIATE JOINER)

Location: Abu Dhabi

Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Reports To: HSE Manager / Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

The HSE Officer will be responsible for inspecting all vehicles in the yard and at project sites to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The role involves reporting faults, giving safety orientations to drivers before mobilization, and supporting the team in HSE documentation related to tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of vehicles in the yard and on-site to identify safety or compliance issues.

Report any vehicle faults or safety concerns to the concerned departments promptly.

Provide pre-mobilization HSE orientation and briefings to drivers, ensuring they understand safety protocols and road safety rules.

Maintain up-to-date vehicle inspection and driver orientation records.

Assist the team with the preparation and submission of HSE-related documentation during tender processes.

Arrange and organize required HSE certificates, documents, and reports as per client or tender requirements.

Liaise with workshop teams and transport supervisors to ensure corrective actions are taken.

Support overall HSE compliance within the transport/mobilization activities.

Participate in incident investigations related to vehicle operations when needed.

Ensure all vehicle safety equipment (fire extinguishers, seat belts, warning triangles, etc.) is in place and in good condition.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HSE, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in vehicle safety or logistics operations.

Good knowledge of local road safety regulations and vehicle compliance standards.

Experience in preparing HSE documents for tenders is an advantage.

UAE driving license preferred.

Ability to work independently and visit different sites/yards.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
