Vehicle Service Advisor

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Communication:

• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner upon arrival
• Listen attentively to customer concerns regarding vehicle performance and service needs
• Conduct initial vehicle inspections and test drives to accurately diagnose issues
• Explain technical repairs and maintenance recommendations in clear, understandable terms
• Keep customers informed about service progress and any additional repairs discovered
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly
• Follow up with customers after service completion to ensure satisfaction

Service Operations:

• Schedule service appointments and manage daily workflow efficiently
• Create detailed and accurate repair orders with clear instructions for technicians
• Provide comprehensive cost estimates for parts and labor
• Verify warranty coverage and service contract eligibility
• Recommend additional services based on vehicle inspection and service history
• Coordinate parts ordering and ensure availability for scheduled jobs
• Process payments, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate customer records
• Monitor service timelines and ensure promised delivery times are met

Essential Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of automotive service terminology and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret service histories and technical manuals
• Familiarity with diagnostic processes and common vehicle issues
• Understanding of diesel engines, brake systems, tire service, and general auto repair

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Vocational certificate in automotive or BE or B tech
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in an automotive service advisor role or similar position UAE
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle systems, automotive repair procedures, and maintenance requirements
• Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and automotive service management software
• Valid UAE Driver's License: Must be able to test drive vehicles
