Vent Unit Manager (RN) – Skilled Nursing Facility | 3552322

Location: Orange, NJ

A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead its Ventilator Unit.

This position requires prior Unit Manager experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility and hands-on ventilator unit oversight. This is not a first-time leadership opportunity.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Current or prior Unit Manager experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility required
• Minimum 2+ years of SNF experience
• Direct experience managing a ventilator or sub-acute unit
• Strong working knowledge of CMS and state regulatory requirements
• Experience supervising RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

Candidates without SNF Unit Manager experience will not be considered.

Position Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations of the Vent Unit
• Ensure full CMS and Department of Health compliance
• Maintain constant survey readiness
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance accountability for the unit
• Oversee ventilator-dependent and high-acuity resident care
• Ensure accurate documentation tied to Medicare reimbursement
• Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy and Infection Prevention
• Participate in QAPI and clinical performance improvement initiatives

Operational Accountability

• Vent unit staffing coverage and labor oversight
• Regulatory compliance and survey performance
• Documentation accuracy and care plan integrity
• Infection control coordination
• High-acuity census capability
