Venture Capital Analyst

About the Role

Sweat Equity Partners India is an operational venture capital firm based in Mumbai, Ghatkopar. We work closely with portfolio companies across strategy, fundraising, financial structuring, and execution.

This role offers dual exposure to Venture Capital and Investment Banking, making it ideal for candidates who want hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of early-stage and growth-stage companies.

As an Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting and executing financial and strategic transactions for portfolio companies. You will work directly with founders, investors, and internal teams, contributing to research, financial modeling, reporting, and investor-facing materials.

Candidates must be based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

• Research industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics relevant to portfolio companies
• Build and maintain financial models, including projections, unit economics, and scenario analyses
• Conduct detailed financial and business analysis to support fundraising and strategic decisions
• Prepare investment presentations, pitch decks, and investor collaterals
• Assist in writing financial reports, memos, and internal documentation
• Monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies, highlighting key risks and opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, founders, and external stakeholders to execute deliverables
• Support ongoing fundraising and transaction-related workflows from preparation to closure
• Hands-on expertise in financial modeling and presentation creation is mandatory for this role.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Solid understanding of financial statements, business models, and capital structures
• High proficiency in financial modeling and Excel/Google Sheets
• Ability to create clear, structured, and persuasive presentations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, execution-heavy environment
• Prior exposure to venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or startup finance is preferred but not mandatory if core skills are strong.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
