Serves as the day-of, onsite venue manager for corporate and social rental events at Wolf Trap Foundation facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as on-site venue manager for facility rental events, including social, corporate, and Wolf Trap special events.
Serve as on-site contact for vendors and as a liaison to the client.
Supervise all event activities occurring at the facilities and ensure that event policies and procedures are followed.
Appropriately manage facility needs during rental events, including AV, power, maintenance, and minor cleaning and restocking.
Effectively maintain outstanding relationships with Wolf Trap’s exclusive catering partners and preferred as well as external vendors.
Sustain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Foundation’s Special Events/Rentals team, the Operations team, and the Culinary/Catering team.
Open, close, and secure the venue onsite, checking vendors in and out as directed in the event materials.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years progressive experience in catering or event sales and service, or relevant college degree and one year’s work experience
Hospitality or customer service experience preferred
Previous Wolf Trap hospitality experience desirable
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Outstanding people and customer service skills
Poised and professional, able to troubleshoot and elevate issues in a fast-paced environment as needed
Must be extremely organized, efficient, and meticulous with detail and follow through
Ability to accommodate flexible schedule year-round, including evenings and weekend
Sensitivity and commitment to the mission of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts
Life/move up to 50 pounds frequently
Regularly required to stoop, bend and reach with arms
Must be able to remain standing and walk significant distances, occasionally in heat and humidity
