Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Join our team at All Creatures Animal Hospital in Eagle Point, Oregon, where compassion meets professionalism! We are currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant or Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our veterinary clinic.

Position: Veterinary Assistant or Technician

Location: All Creatures Animal Hospital, Eagle Point, Oregon

Starting Wage: $17.00/hour-$24.00/hour with potential for increase within the first 90 days. Starting wage is determined by your individual experience in veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities:

• Safely monitor patients under anesthesia
• Assist with dental cleaning procedures
• Place IV catheters
• Perform blood draws
• Administer medications
• Nail trims and basic grooming duties
• Cleaning kennels and equipment
• Monitor hospitalized patients while following Doctors treatment plans
• Take X-Rays
• Gather patient history efficiently and accurately
• Create labels for medications prescribed by our veterinarians and ensure correct dosages are dispensed
• Perform tasks such as running fecal and urine samples to assist in diagnostic procedures.
• Uphold basic math skills for tasks such as medication counting
• Pay meticulous attention to detail when updating medical records
• Strong spelling skills are preferred

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• X-Ray certification preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Basic math knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to show compassion towards clients and their pets
• Willingness to go above and beyond to provide exceptional service
