Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Companion animal veterinary practice looking for veterinary assistants and/or technicians. Full-time and part-time positions are available and schedules are flexible. Shifts available are 7:30 am to 1 pm and 1 pm to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday with some weekends. 1-3 years experience is preferred and pay is based on experience.

Job duties will include:

- Handling and holding animals (including cats)

- Assisting the veterinarian in medical procedures including surgery

- Client education

- Customer service and reception

The minimum requirements for this position are:

- Able to lift 40 pounds independently

- Comfortable working closely with animals

- Positive, friendly attitude

- Interest in learning new things

- Able to pass a drug test and consent to a background check

- Have reliable transportation

- Able to work weekends
