Veterinary Client Service Representative / Receptionist

Como Park Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) for a Full-Time position. We are part of a privately-owned 24-hour AAHA-accredited animal hospital which provides primary care during the days (8-8 Mon-Friday & 8-2 on weekends), and urgent/emergency care evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.

Our Patients include dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets and other exotics.

Our CSRs

  • Greet clients and check in appointments
  • Answer phones (multiple lines) in our call center
  • Triage urgent care and emergency cases
  • Manage patient appointment schedules
  • Constantly communicate with clients, technicians, and veterinarians in person, on the phone, and online
  • Process invoices and payments
  • Various office and clerical tasks including email, faxing, stocking inventory, and scanning
  • Are on their feet for several hours at a time
  • Create a warm, inviting and welcoming environment for our clients and patients
  • Are able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Are comfortable with computers and technology (including EMR)
  • Problem-solve and use critical thinking

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years client service experience, ideally front desk experience
  • Some experience or education in veterinary medicine. Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
  • Maintain professionalism in high-stress situations
  • Work well with others and can take direction well
  • Are able to lift 50+ lbs.

Pay is based on experience, hours and availability. Generous benefits package for full-time employees.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
