Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Doctor with an MVSc degree and at least 3 years of experience to join our team in Trichy. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating small animals, performing surgeries, and providing preventive care with a high standard of professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions in small animals (dogs, cats, and other household pets).
- Perform surgical procedures, including routine spays/neuters and emergency surgeries for small animals.
- Conduct routine check-ups, vaccinations, and preventive care for pets.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, blood work, and ultrasounds.
- Provide consultation and advice to pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional care.
- Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine specific to small animals and participate in continuous professional development.
- Handle emergency cases and provide after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- MVSc (Master of Veterinary Science) degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in veterinary practice, specifically with small animals.
- Valid veterinary license/registration with the Tamil Nadu State Veterinary Council or equivalent authority.
- Strong surgical skills and experience in performing routine and emergency procedures on small animals.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach toward pets and their owners.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies calmly.
- Knowledge of local animal health regulations and zoonotic disease prevention.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Trichy or familiarity with local pet care needs.
- Proficiency in using veterinary diagnostic equipment and software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergencies.
