Veterinary Technician Registered (RVT)

Fulfilling this vital role allows you to support veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical care.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection to ensure smooth operations during examinations and surgeries
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostics to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Provide monitoring during post-operative recovery
• Handle animals safely using proper handling techniques
• Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology, performing cleanings, and assisting with extractions or other treatments
• Operate radiology equipment such as X-ray machines and ultrasound to produce clear diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols

Experience

• Previous veterinary experience in a small animal clinic
• Laboratory experience including sample processing and analysis for diagnostic purposes
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and pet care best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
