Job Description:
In this role, you’ll lead and grow our Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, and Education practice in Florida while helping establish a dedicated Power/Energy practice. You’ll drive business development, strengthen client relationships, and collaborate with other offices to cross-sell services and expand opportunities with national clients. In addition to leading a team of engineers and support personnel, this position will also be actively involved in professional associations and community organizations.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders
  • Provide overall guidance on the design and technical aspects of the team(s) projects
  • Prepare proposals and client agreements
  • Monitor project tasks, budgets and schedules with Senior Project Managers and Project Managers
  • Responsible for the oversight of technical and professional development of project team(s)
  • Participate in developing company design and production standards
  • Actively participate in professional associations and civic organizations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural or civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Florida
  • 15 years' experience managing substantial projects from conception to completion including estimating costs of technical tasks in commercial/site development; at least 10 of those years managing projects; Florida area experience and contacts are a strong plus
  • Extensive knowledge of design and construction practices
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, both oral and written skills, with all level of employees in an organization
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders
  • Proven ability to lead a team of engineers and support personnel
  • Actively involved in professional associations and civic organizations
  • Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday
