Overview:
Location: Springfield, Illinois
The Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity is a visionary and collaborative executive responsible for leading all technology functions across a five-hospital and ambulatory health system. This role ensures that infrastructure, platforms, and digital capabilities support system continuity, high-quality patient care, and an exceptional colleague experience. The VP drives innovation, efficiency, and cost-effective solutions while leading high-performing teams in infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, and enterprise architecture. This position plays a critical role in enabling virtual care, remote operations, and responsiveness to a dynamic clinical environment.
The VP of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity will embody the Memorial Health values of safety, integrity, quality and stewardship to support the mission and vision.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required; Master’s preferred
Experience:

Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership in healthcare technology, including enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity

Proven success leading large teams and complex implementations in a multi-entity health system
Responsibilities:
- Defines and executes the enterprise technology strategy in alignment with clinical, operational, and business goals.

Ensures technology platforms are scalable, secure, and resilient to support continuity of care and system-wide operations

Champions innovation in infrastructure, cloud services, and digital enablement to support future-ready healthcare delivery

Oversees all technology infrastructure, including network, cloud, data centers, and endpoint management

Ensures high availability, performance, and disaster recovery capabilities across all clinical and business systems

Leads modernization efforts to support virtual care, remote workforce, and mobile-enabled operations

Leads enterprise cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operations to protect patient data and organizational assets

Collaborates with compliance, legal, and clinical teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices

Fosters a culture of security awareness and proactive risk mitigation across the organization

Oversees enterprise data architecture, governance, and analytics platforms to drive actionable insights

Partners with clinical and operational leaders to develop dashboards, predictive models, and decision support tools

Ensures data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with strategic priorities

Leads and develops a large, multidisciplinary team of technology professionals, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, and analytics experts

Promotes a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Partners closely with CMIO, CNIO, and operational leaders to ensure technology solutions meet frontline needs

Drives efficiency and cost-effectiveness in technology operations, vendor management, and capital planning

Champions service excellence by establishing and monitoring technology support response standards that prioritize speed and resolution quality. Lead cross-functional efforts to enhance end-user experience, reduce incident resolution times, and ensure consistent, customer-centric service delivery across infrastructure and cybersecurity operations.
