Vice President of Financial Operations

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Financial Operations will be a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in overseeing and managing financial and operational systems, processes, administration, and internal controls in support of the organization’s mission. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting our continued growth and development through ensuring a robust support system is in place, covering payroll, billing and collections, consultant onboarding and assignment management, and travel services.

Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide operational insights and support decision-making processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Oversee the annual budgeting process for the Payroll, Billing & Collections, Consultant Onboarding, and Travel departments. Provide regular forecasts to guide resource allocation and business planning for these teams.

Risk Management:

  • Assess and manage financial and operational risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential challenges.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators that may impact operations.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.

  • Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of standard processes and procedures.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide guidance on career development and skill enhancement for team members.

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to optimize financial services and streamline operations.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred

  • Proven experience in financial leadership roles and change management

  • In-depth knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and work all hours as necessary or required
