Vice President of Global Sourcing & Sustainability

The Vice President ofGlobal Sourcing and Sustainability will lead global sourcing

strategy and sustainable supply chain initiatives, ensuring the responsible procurement of fabrics and materials with a strong focus on the Eastern Hemisphere, particularly China. This leader will drive vendor partnerships, cost optimization, and innovation while making our sourcing and manufacturing operations more sustainable wherever feasible and not cost prohibitive.

REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Global Sourcing Strategy

· Develop and execute sourcing strategies for fabrics and materials, with deep expertise in Asian markets (China, India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc.).

· Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure best-in-class quality, cost competitiveness, and agility.

· Build long-term relationships with strategic vendors to secure capacity and innovation.

Sustainability Leadership

· Design and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy across the supply chain, aligning with company ESG goals and industry best practices.

· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, labor standards, and ethical sourcing practices.

· Champion initiatives in circularity, traceability, and carbon footprint reduction.

· Drive sustainability efforts with our manufacturing plant and distribution centers including

1. Energy efficiency programs and adoption of renewable energy sources.

2. Waste reduction and recycling initiatives that minimize environmental impact.

3. Water conservation and responsible wastewater management.

4. Implementation of green logistics, packaging optimization, and carbon-conscious distribution practices.

5. Employee engagement programs focused on sustainability awareness and training.

Operational Excellence

· Oversee supplier performance management including scorecards and KPIs for quality, delivery, pricing, and sustainability.

· Collaborate with design, product development, and production teams to integrate new sustainable fabrics and practices into the product lifecycle.

· Anticipate supply chain risks and develop risk-mitigation strategies.

Leadership and Influence

· Build and lead a high-performing global sourcing and sustainability team.

· Serve as a thought leader within the organization on responsible sourcing and supply chain trends.

· Represent the company in industry forums, certifications, and sustainability partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 15+ years of progressive experience in global sourcing, supply-chain management, or procurement, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.

· Proven track record sourcing fabrics and materials across Asia, with an established supplier network.

· Deep knowledge of sustainability frameworks (e.g., Higg Index, Project Gigaton, Thesis, Digital Product Passport, Carbon Disclosure Project, and ZDHC).

· Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

· Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.

· Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, textiles, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to work in a standard office environment with regular use of computer and telephone.

· Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings, presentations, or travel.

· Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., samples, materials, or documents).

· Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 40–50%), primary international travel will be across Central America and Asia, to visit mills, factories, and supplier partners.
