Position Summary

The Vice President of Human Resources will oversee all HR functions for the organization, serving as a strategic partner to the executive team. This position is responsible for providing leadership in talent management, organizational development, employee relations, compensation, and total rewards to ensure a high-performance workforce. The VP of HR will design, implement, and maintain HR strategies that align with the company's mission and goals while fostering a positive, diverse, and inclusive work culture.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct all human resources functions, including talent acquisition, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop HR strategies that support organizational growth, employee engagement, and business objectives.

  • Provide guidance on complex HR issues such as executive compensation, leadership development, conflict resolution, and workforce planning.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies and practices that comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as industry standards.

  • Drive the performance management process, ensuring that employees receive appropriate feedback, development opportunities, and are recognized for outstanding contributions.

  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters, including strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.

  • Lead initiatives for diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that HR practices promote a welcoming, inclusive, and fair work environment.

  • Develop and monitor key HR metrics and reports to track organizational health and inform strategic decision-making.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the HR team.

  • Maintain relationships with external partners, including vendors, legal advisors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and best practices in HR operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related field (preferred).

  • Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar credentials (preferred).

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance regulations, and HR best practices.

  • Proven experience in strategic HR leadership, talent management, and organizational development.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success in leading HR functions in a fast-paced, complex organization.

  • Experience with HRIS systems, advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and the ability to analyze HR data to inform decisions.

Experience

  • Proven experience in leading HR strategies in a large-scale organization, with a focus on talent management, compensation, and employee relations.

  • Strong knowledge of compensation strategies, employee benefits, and HR policies that drive employee engagement and retention.

  • Experience managing and mentoring HR teams, with a track record of developing HR professionals for leadership roles.

  • Ability to balance the strategic vision with tactical execution, ensuring HR initiatives align with the organization’s needs.

  • Demonstrated success in navigating complex HR challenges, including employee relations, compliance, and organizational change.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a significant portion in senior leadership roles.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.

  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, from executives to frontline employees.

  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with the ability to drive change and build consensus across diverse teams.
