In alignment with our organizational culture and mission, the HR team, known as People and Culture, acts as a strategic partner to Operations and other internal stakeholders. Our goal is to drive performance, leadership, engagement, and accountability across the organization.
Position Overview
The Vice President of People and Culture will report directly to our Chief People and Culture Officer and be a trusted partner and leader for the People & Culture team, providing guidance and direction for our hospitals. This leader will support the HQ Recruiting, Field Recruiting, Benefits, HR Business Partner and Generalist teams in their day-to-day and play an integral role in partnering with our Operations Team to support Team Member relations, engagement, strategic development, and talent recruitment.
Specific Responsibilities
People Operations:
  • Develop a culture of high performance and strong leadership within our hospitals
  • Analyze and interpret HR issues to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic objectives
  • Develop, coach, and lead the HR team to address talent needs to support business growth including conducting strategic Talent Planning sessions in partnership with the Operations and hospital teams
  • Provide recommendations for the professional development of talent and ensure Team Members continuously learn and grow
  • Research and share trends and direction regarding Team Member issues, continuously improving and enhancing the culture
  • Drive improvement in key performance metrics, including Team Member Engagement, Internal Mobility, Attrition, Manager Capability, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
  • Develop, drive, and improve People & Culture related Operating Mechanisms, including High Performing Organizational Reviews, Talent Reviews and the employee engagement survey process through close collaboration with the People and Culture and Operations Teams.
  • Monitor and respond to Team Member concerns/ attitudes and ensure fair, consistent, and effective application of policies and procedures for all associates
  • Drive initiatives and ensures state and government regulatory compliance adherence.
  • Support Team Member communications

Talent Acquisition:
  • Coordinate with the Vice President of Talent Acquisition and their team in the development and execution of recruitment plans for Doctors
  • Provide leadership in the development of onboarding materials and Team Member orientations that build engaged team members
  • Oversee and improve the recruitment of Hospital Managers
Company-Wide:
  • Work as a strategic partner to fill open roles at HQ
  • Support with overall organizational planning and development as needed
Key skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 7-10 years’ experience in HR and experience managing a team
  • Strong ability to develop relationships and partner with Team Members at all levels
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills that foster teamwork, collaboration, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyze and present information in such a way that it is understood by everyone within the organization
  • Extremely well organized and methodical in your approach to problem solving
  • Strong bias for action and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong understanding of employment law with the ability to apply this knowledge to day-to-day work and company policy development
