Role Overview:

The Vice President of Operations (VP – Ops) serves as the senior executive responsible for the performance, scalability, and real-time execution of all flight operations across Paradise Jets.

This role sits above the Pod Operations Director function and is responsible for ensuring that the entire operational engine—Pods, scheduling, flight control, and execution—runs with precision, speed, and profitability.

You are not here to manage—you are here to command complexity, drive decisions, and scale performance.

This is a high-intensity, high-accountability role designed for a fast-paced, highly analytical operator with strong deductive reasoning and extreme attention to detail.

What This Role Owns:

This role is built to have full oversight of:

Flight scheduling, approval, and execution
Real-time operational decision-making across all Pods
Resource allocation (aircraft, crews, scheduling)
Trip prioritization and conflict resolution
Cross-functional alignment (Flight Ops, Maintenance, VIP, Finance)
Operational scalability as the company grows

This function is the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring all operations remain compliant, profitable, and mission-ready

Core Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

Maintain full visibility across all flight operations
Ensure every trip is executed with compliant crews and properly maintained aircraft
Own performance across utilization, reliability, and operational efficiency
Set and enforce operational standards across the organization

Scheduling and Execution

Oversee company-wide flight scheduling strategy
Ensure all trips are operationally sound before execution
Validate aircraft availability, crew assignments, and routing
Improve efficiency in scheduling, staging, and fleet utilization

Decision Making and Problem Solving

Lead resolution of operational conflicts and constraints
Prioritize high-value and time-sensitive trips when resources are limited
Make real-time decisions during disruptions such as weather, maintenance, or crew limitations
Identify risks early and take action before they impact execution

Real-Time Operations

Maintain authority over live operational adjustments including delays, reroutes, and cancellations
Ensure consistent and effective execution under pressure
Drive fast, clear decision-making across the operations team

Team Leadership and Accountability

Lead and develop the operations team
Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards
Build a strong leadership bench capable of scaling with the company
Drive a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and execution

Cross-Functional Alignment

Work closely with flight operations leadership, maintenance, and client services
Ensure aircraft readiness, crew compliance, and client expectations are aligned
Act as the central point of coordination across operational functions

Systems and Scale

Build and refine operational systems and processes
Standardize workflows to support growth
Improve efficiency, reduce friction, and increase throughput
Prepare the operation to scale without sacrificing quality

Compensation:

Base salary in the high $100Ks (DOE)
Clear path to low $200Ks based on performance and impact
Compensation growth tied to results, leadership, and operational improvement
