POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vice President of the Office of Research Strategy is responsible for the development, strategic oversight, and administration of the organization's portfolio of assessment research initiatives. This role ensures alignment with institutional goals and serves as the primary research subject matter expert on the innovation leadership team. The VP fosters a culture of innovation internally and promotes collaboration with the external research community. Working collaboratively with internal functional units, the VP will lead initiatives to develop or evaluate assessment capabilities and define constructs necessary to support existing and enable new assessment products.
This role is critical to enhancing NBME's research capabilities, driving innovation, and ensuring effective use of resources in support of research activities. Join us to lead transformative research initiatives and make a lasting impact on the future of assessment and education.
This role has been designated as primarily remote, meaning it requires little to no onsite attendance. While this role can be designated as remote, you are offered the flexibility to select if you prefer to work primarily remotely, hybrid, or onsite. Only candidates residing in DE, MD, NJ, or PA will be considered

Founded in 1915, NBME develops and manages the United States Medical Licensing Examination® with the Federation of State Medical Boards. Compensation we are offering for this position is at $235,809-294,761/year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
