Position Overview:
The Vice Principal plays a key leadership role in supporting the Principal in the academic, administrative, and co-curricular functions of the school. This role involves supervising teachers, ensuring curriculum implementation as per the Matriculation Board standards, promoting student discipline, and fostering a positive and effective learning environment. The Vice Principal serves as a bridge between management, staff, students, and parents to uphold the school’s vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership
- Oversee the effective implementation of the Matriculation syllabus and ensure academic excellence across all grades.
- Supervise lesson planning, classroom instruction, and student assessments.
- Conduct regular academic reviews, classroom observations, and teacher evaluations.
- Coordinate and monitor remedial classes, enrichment programs, and co-curricular activities.
- Ensure that all academic records, timetables, and reports are maintained accurately and on time.
Administrative Management
- Assist the Principal in the overall administration and day-to-day operations of the school.
- Prepare and implement school policies, schedules, and academic calendars.
- Coordinate with administrative and support staff for smooth school functioning.
- Monitor attendance (staff and students) and maintain discipline on the campus.
- Ensure compliance with Tamil Nadu Matriculation Board regulations and school management directives.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Guide, mentor, and motivate teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Organize professional development programs and workshops for staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to review progress and address challenges.
Student Affairs
- Promote student welfare, discipline, and holistic development.
- Oversee student counseling, discipline procedures, and code of conduct enforcement.
- Encourage student participation in cultural, sports, and community service activities.
Parent and Community Engagement
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians through meetings, reports, and events.
- Address parent queries and grievances in coordination with the Principal.
- Promote community partnerships that enhance the educational experience.
Other Duties
- Act as Acting Principal in the Principal’s absence.
- Support school events, inspections, and external audits.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the institution.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed.) or relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. mandatory.
- Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role (e.g., Head of Department, Coordinator, or Senior Teacher).
- Familiarity with Tamil Nadu Matriculation Board curriculum and regulations.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Proficiency in using technology for academic and administrative purposes.

Compensation:
- Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
