JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Victim Advocate Coordinator will coordinate and provide advocacy services associated with cases being prosecuted or investigated by the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office. This position will respond to calls, letters and emails from individuals affected by crime, and refer them to local resources within their area of need. They will serve as a liaison for victims and families with the assigned prosecutor and attend court hearings with the victims and witnesses. The Victim Advocate will document all encounters with victims and witnesses in the case management database and will disseminate notifications to victims of all prosecutorial procedures. Other office related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Valid Kansas Driver’s License.
