Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Six months of clerical experience to include public contact, customer service, data entry or providing citizen information or referral services. Must possess a Department of Children and Families (DCF) Core Competency and Privilege thirty (30) Hours Training Certificate within 45 days of employment (continued employment is contingent upon meeting this requirement). Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver license at all times and meet the Level 2 Employment Screening standards.

This position is responsible for providing direct advocacy services to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, stalking, and human trafficking, and their dependent children who seek assistance in a county social services program. Primary responsibilities include managing the 24/7 domestic violence hotline, conducting client intakes, implementing safety plans, and screening cases for risk. Additionally, employees deliver crisis counseling, provide information and referrals, complete necessary advocacy work, and manage food supplies.

Shift work required. Must have open availability (days, nights, weekends, holidays.)
