Position Description (Summary)
Responsible for seeing the Pastor’s vision fulfilled in their area of oversight, reports directly to the Media Director who is responsible for overseeing the Video, IT, Tech, and Marketing departments.
Church Responsibilities
- Seeing that Pastor Kevin's vision is fulfilled in all video asset creation, development, planning and streaming in the Media ministry, and representing the Pastor and Mount Hope Church well, at all times.
- Helping to recruit and develop a team of volunteers, leaders, and directors who are released and empowered to minister in the areas of your oversight.
- Making the Pastor's job easier and creating a joy-filled environment.
- Regularly attending weekly staff prayer times that occur during your normally scheduled work hours .
- Providing Bible-based answers to questions that members, attenders, and callers ask; reaching out to pastors or other employees for help with answers, as needed
Video Director responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- The Video Director is the point person for all video asset creation, development, planning and streaming.
- This position is responsible for actively developing godly relationships with volunteers, with the goal of recruiting, training and adding value for this particular discipline.
- The director will have a long-range written plan to work from that can be reviewed and measured.
- Representing the organization with an attitude of helpfulness, generosity and humility.
- Overseeing all video and TV streaming, video content creation, producing and editing. This includes special events video needs.
- Overseeing and maintaining all video systems, camera, the TV studio and control room, projection systems and displays maintenance and operation, including lighting in TV studio.
- Developing volunteer video producers who can manage a variety of projects from start to finish
- Keeping weekly project list and schedule
- Long-range goal setting that aligns with the organization's priorities.
- The director is responsible for communicating and understanding this intuitive planning.
- Performing other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Media Director or Lead Pastor.
Additional Roles may include but not limited to:
- Creative concepts and social media creation; (sermon series openers, posts, etc.)
- Photography Shoots
- Performing other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Marketing Director
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in video related field or 3+ years of video experience in the field or in a related area.
- Must be proficient Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects). Will be trained on Bitrix24, Planning Center, and ProPresenter.
- A heart and passions to serve other team members.
- A teachable attitude that desire to learn and discover more.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must have a passion for story telling.
- Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance, both independently and in collaboration with other team members and departments.
- Work successfully in a multiple project, deadline-driven environment.
- Creative and forward thinking—can think outside of the box.
- Intuitive research abilities and problem solving.
- Excellent organization skills & attention to detail.
- Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and enthusiasm.
