Position Description (Summary)Responsible for seeing the Pastor&rsquo;s vision fulfilled in their area of oversight, reports directly to the Media Director who is responsible for overseeing the Video, IT, Tech, and Marketing departments.Church Responsibilities<ul><li>Seeing that Pastor Kevin's vision is fulfilled in all video asset creation, development, planning and streaming in the Media ministry, and representing the Pastor and Mount Hope Church well, at all times.</li><li>Helping to recruit and develop a team of volunteers, leaders, and directors who are released and empowered to minister in the areas of your oversight.</li><li>Making the Pastor's job easier and creating a joy-filled environment.</li><li>Regularly attending weekly staff prayer times that occur during your normally scheduled work hours .</li><li>Providing Bible-based answers to questions that members, attenders, and callers ask; reaching out to pastors or other employees for help with answers, as needed</li></ul>Video Director responsibilities include, but not limited to:<ul><li>The Video Director is the point person for all video asset creation, development, planning and streaming.</li><li>This position is responsible for actively developing godly relationships with volunteers, with the goal of recruiting, training and adding value for this particular discipline.</li><li>The director will have a long-range written plan to work from that can be reviewed and measured.</li><li>Representing the organization with an attitude of helpfulness, generosity and humility.</li><li>Overseeing all video and TV streaming, video content creation, producing and editing. This includes special events video needs.</li><li>Overseeing and maintaining all video systems, camera, the TV studio and control room, projection systems and displays maintenance and operation, including lighting in TV studio.</li><li>Developing volunteer video producers who can manage a variety of projects from start to finish</li><li>Keeping weekly project list and schedule</li><li>Long-range goal setting that aligns with the organization's priorities.</li><li>The director is responsible for communicating and understanding this intuitive planning.</li><li>Performing other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Media Director or Lead Pastor.</li></ul>Additional Roles may include but not limited to:<ul><li>Creative concepts and social media creation; (sermon series openers, posts, etc.)</li><li>Photography Shoots</li><li>Performing other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Marketing Director</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in video related field or 3+ years of video experience in the field or in a related area.</li><li>Must be proficient Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects). Position Description (Summary)Full time position managing both the internal and external communications responsibilities at Mount Hope Church and to equip the Mount Hope family and Lansing area with hope with engaging, informative, and educating materials. This includes being responsible for seeing the Pastor&rsquo;s vision fulfilled in their area of oversight, reports directly to the Media Director who is responsible for overseeing the Marketing Department.Church Responsibilities<ul><li>Seeing the Pastor&rsquo;s vision is fulfilled in the graphics area of the Marketing Department, and representing him and Mount Hope Church well, at all times</li><li>Helping to recruit and develop a team of volunteers, leaders, and directors who are released and empowered to minister in the areas of your oversight</li><li>Making the Pastor&rsquo;s job easier and creating a joy-filled environment</li><li>Regularly attending weekly staff prayer times that occur during your normally scheduled work hours</li><li>Providing Bible-based answers to questions that members, attenders, and callers ask; reaching out to other pastors/employees for help with answers as needed</li></ul>Marketing Director responsibilities include, but not limited to:Marketing:<ul><li>Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of Mount Hope&rsquo;s brand and activities to the outside public.</li><li>Supervise the department and create relations with other marketing professionals.</li><li>Plan and execute campaigns for Mount Hope promotion, launching of new events, etc.</li><li>Monitor progress and submit performance reports.</li><li>Manage content for Mount Hope&rsquo;s online presence and/or editorial publications.</li><li>Control budgets and allocate resources amongst projects.</li></ul>Communications:<ul><li>Manage and create internal materials (screens, prints, videos, app) to inform Mount Hope attendees of available activities.</li><li>Create and manage scripts, emailers, and copy for Mount Hope Church.</li><li>Build and foster collaborative relationships with other departments and volunteers to stay informed of new initiatives, projects, and services.</li><li>Develop a strategic communications plan to support the Mount Hope Church mission, goals, and objectives.</li></ul>Website / App:<ul><li>Ensure website functionality and perform software updates.</li><li>Monitor, assess, and report on website performance.</li><li>Ensure domain registration and hosting are current and running.</li><li>Develop and/or update content including subsites.</li><li>Handle online marketing projects ranging from SEO to social media marketing.</li><li>Ensure app functionality and perform software updates.</li></ul>Photography:<ul><li>Manage and coordinate volunteers.</li><li>Capture pictures for promotional materials and of the life at Mount Hope Church.</li></ul>Social Media:<ul><li>Create graphics/videos for posts, design, and/or photos.</li><li>Create and administer content calendars.</li><li>Write language and content.</li></ul>Management:<ul><li>Oversee graphic design and communication staff</li><li>Preform quarterly reviews</li><li>Create and manage projects and training materials for upcoming interns and/or volunteers.</li><li>Teach hands-on training in design and website tools.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in graphic design related field or 5+ years of marketing and graphic design experience in the field or in a related area.</li><li>Must be proficient Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom).
