Video Editing Intern – Filmora | On-Site Karachi

Full Job Description

We are looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Video Editing Intern to join our team at Portway Trade Center, Karachi.

This internship is ideal for fresh candidates or individuals with up to six months of video editing experience who want to improve their skills and gain practical experience by working on real projects in a professional environment.

The selected candidate will work closely with our creative team to edit engaging short-form and long-form video content for digital and social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form video content.
• Trim, arrange, and combine video footage to create engaging and well-paced videos.
• Add captions, subtitles, graphics, transitions, background music, and sound effects.
• Edit content for platforms such as YouTube and Facebook.
• Ensure that all videos follow company brand guidelines and quality standards.
• Make revisions based on feedback from the team.
• Assist the creative team in bringing video ideas and concepts to life.
• Maintain proper organization of video files, footage, and project assets.
• Stay updated with current video editing styles, social media trends, and content formats.
• Complete assigned video projects within the given deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Filmora is required.
• Fresh candidates or candidates with up to six months of video editing experience may apply.
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects will be considered a plus.
• Basic understanding of video pacing, storytelling, transitions, captions, and sound design.
• Basic knowledge of color correction and audio editing.
• Ability to create engaging and visually appealing video content.
• Good attention to detail and a creative mindset.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback.
• Willingness to learn and improve video editing skills.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
• Candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as with a team.
• Applicants must be available to work on-site from Monday to Saturday.
• Candidates based in Karachi will be preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant diploma, certification, or education in video editing, media, design, or a related field.
• Previous internship, freelance work, personal projects, or social media video editing experience.
• Understanding of YouTube and Facebook video formats.
• Awareness of current short-form video editing trends.
• A portfolio, showreel, or sample video work will be preferred.
