JOB DESCRIPTION:


  • Editing and assembling recorded video footage to create compelling content that aligns with the organization’s messaging and strategic objectives.

  • Enhancing audio and visual quality by adjusting sound levels, color grading, and incorporating visual elements such as logos, titles, subtitles, graphics, and effects to ensure a polished final product.

  • Preparing and formatting final video outputs for distribution across multiple platforms, including digital channels (social media, websites, internal platforms) and broadcast (TV and media outlets), ensuring technical compatibility and high-quality standards.


Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, Communication, Visual Arts, or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in video editing, post-production, and multimedia content creation.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality video content for digital platforms, social media, and broadcast (TV).

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as:

    • Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve

    • Adobe After Effects (for motion graphics and effects)

    • Adobe Audition or other tools for sound editing

  • Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, compression standards, and aspect ratios for various platforms (YouTube, social media, broadcast).

  • Experience in color correction, sound balancing, subtitle integration, and basic visual effects.

Creative Skills

  • Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.

  • Ability to enhance content through branding elements (logos, titles, overlays, etc.) in alignment with organizational identity.

  • Experience working with scripts, storyboards, or raw footage from production teams.

Soft Skills & Collaboration

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, marketers, and communications staff.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Proactive and receptive to creative feedback during editing and review cycles.

Mission Fit

  • Passion for or experience in creating content for humanitarian, non-profit, or development-focused organizations is a strong advantage.

  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness when producing regionally or globally distributed content.
