Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor and Reel Creator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in video editing softwares. You will be responsible for producing high-quality video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos that meet the project's objectives. This includes cutting and trimming footage, adding transitions, special effects, and audio elements.
• Reel Creation: Develop and create short-form video content such as reels for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Storyboarding: Collaborate with the creative team to develop storyboards and visual concepts for videos.
• Content Optimization: Ensure all video content is optimized for different platforms and devices, taking into consideration aspect ratios, resolutions, and other technical specifications.
• Color Grading: Perform color correction and color grading to enhance the visual aesthetics of the videos.
• Sound Editing: Edit and mix audio tracks, including voiceovers, music, and sound effects to ensure high audio quality.
• Asset Management: Organize and manage video assets, ensuring that files are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Feedback Incorporation: Incorporate feedback from the creative team, clients, or stakeholders to refine and perfect video projects.
• Staying Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in video editing, social media, and digital marketing to ensure content remains current and engaging.
• Quality Assurance: Review and quality check all video content before publishing to ensure it meets the company's standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in video editing and reel creation.
• Software Proficiency: Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects. Knowledge of graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
• Creativity: Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of video projects, including short-form content and social media reels.

Preferred Skills

• Animation: Basic knowledge of animation and motion graphics.
• Photography: Basic photography skills to assist with content creation when needed.
• Social Media Savvy: Understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices for video content.

Working Conditions

• Location: Remote Job
• Hours: Full-time position, occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
• Equipment: Access to a high-performance computer and video editing software is mandatory.
