We are looking for an experienced Video Editor with over 5 years of professional experience in editing long-form videos. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of visual storytelling, solid technical expertise, and a passion for creating content that makes a meaningful impact. In this role, you will manage the entire editing workflow—from raw footage to the final polished output—while collaborating closely with educators and instructional designers to ensure that every piece of content aligns with our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Edit and refine long-form video content:
Produce high-quality videos for YouTube episodes, documentaries, interviews, online courses, and promotional campaigns.

Incorporate motion graphics and visual effects:
Design engaging animations, transitions, and visual effects that enhance storytelling and capture audience attention.

Handle advanced post-production:
Apply color correction, audio mixing, and sound design techniques to deliver a professional, platform-ready final video.

Collaborate on narrative development:
Work with the creative team to shape the storytelling direction, maintain brand consistency, and improve the overall visual narrative.

Manage assets and project files:
Organize media files and project assets efficiently while handling multiple editing projects simultaneously.

Optimize content for various platforms:
Adjust and prepare video content for different platforms such as YouTube, social media, and online learning environments to ensure optimal viewing quality.

Stay updated with industry trends:
Continuously explore new editing tools, techniques, and trends to keep the organization’s content modern and engaging.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:
At least 5 years of practical experience in editing long-form video content such as full-length episodes, documentaries, or series.

Software expertise:
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro.

Editing and post-production skills:
Strong capability in advanced editing methods, color grading, and sound mixing or design.

Motion graphics and storytelling ability:
Ability to create visually engaging motion graphics and deliver compelling visual narratives.

Portfolio requirement:
A strong portfolio demonstrating long-form video editing projects and storytelling capabilities is mandatory.

Creative mindset:
Excellent storytelling instincts and the ability to conceptualize and execute engaging story arcs.

Additional skills (preferred):
Experience with 3D animation, VFX integration, and livestream video production is a plus.
