Video Editor

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Video Editor on a contract basis to support the marketing efforts of our tree service company in northern Minnesota. This contract position involves editing provided raw footage into professional long-form videos and short-form “reels” that showcase our tree care services, job site operations, equipment maintenance, and safety practices. The role is paid per project, offering flexibility for a creative professional who prefers working with their own preferred editing software. Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble provided raw footage into polished long-form videos and engaging short-form “reels” for social media and marketing purposes.
• Apply color correction, sound syncing, transitions, captions, and basic visual effects to create clear, professional, and visually appealing content.
• Produce both longer overview videos and concise, dynamic short-form reels highlighting tree service projects, before-and-after results, equipment operations, and crew activities.
• Perform photo editing and retouching on provided images as needed for use in marketing materials and video thumbnails.
• Organize and manage digital video and photo assets efficiently to support smooth project workflows.
• Deliver completed projects on schedule while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing software of your choice (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or other professional tools).
• Strong skills in color correction, sound syncing, and creating engaging short-form and long-form video content.
• Experience with photo editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom (or equivalent).
• Ability to transform raw footage into polished, story-driven videos suitable for social media and professional marketing.
• Strong attention to detail and a creative eye for visual storytelling.
• Excellent time management and the ability to meet project deadlines independently.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to occasionally review materials or meet at our facilities in northern Minnesota if needed.
• Prior experience editing promotional or documentary-style content is a plus.

This contract-based position is compensated per project and offers flexibility for experienced editors who value creative freedom and prefer using their own preferred editing software.
