Edit engaging short and long-form content to create presence for EcoShip across social media and publish content.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a detail-oriented video editor to join our team. You’ll own the editing and publishing side of our content operation - working with Jake (CEO) and Kevin (our producer) to make sure every video we put out looks great and lands on time.

Right now we produce 1 long-form YouTube video and 3-7 shorts each week. Your job is to take the raw footage and turn it into content we’re proud to put our name on.

This is a great fit if you have a strong eye for pacing, care about the details, and can work independently without needing hand-holding to hit a deadline.

What You’ll Do

Edit Short & Long-Form Content

• Edit 7–10 short-form videos per week (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels)
• Edit 1 long-form YouTube video per week (5–15 minutes)
• Apply captions, transitions, pacing cuts, and platform-specific formatting
• Handle color correction, audio cleanup, music/SFX, graphics, and end screens
• We’ll share our current style guides - your job is to match them and make them better

Manage Posting Schedule & Accounts

• Upload and schedule all content according to our posting calendar
• Manage metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails) across platforms
• Ensure every piece of content goes live on time, every time

(Bonus) Own Our Design

Not required, but if you have design chops, we’d love to put them to work.

• Design graphics for social media, email headers, flyers, and event materials
• Maintain and organize our shared asset library (Google Drive or Dropbox)
• Create and update branded templates for recurring content needs
• Support any rebranding or brand refresh work with research and mockups

Tools to Be Familiar With

• Editing software - Premiere Pro or equivalent (required)
• Social platforms - YouTube, TikTok, Instagram
• Google Docs and Drive
• Digital design: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator (bonus, not required)
• Comfortable with technology in general

Prior Experience

• Proof of past editing work - please share examples when you apply
• Current education or basic hands-on experience in video editing

Schedule & Compensation

• 16–24 hours per week (flexible on days)
• Hours must fall between 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• $20–$25/hr
