Video Editor and Animator

Job Description
Primary Functions & Responsibilities
Ares regularly produces internal and external videos which are used in various online and live events. These videos require a video editor and animator that can produce video, audio and animated content as well as support the Creative Solutions team with internal and external graphics, as needed. To succeed in this role, the Video Editor and Animator must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a conceptual thinker, creative, articulate and can understand and convey a variety of concepts. Outstanding execution and organization skills combined with excellent judgment and exemplary ethics and values are imperative.
  • Assist Video Producer with creating and developing multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal company videos, external social media videos, marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects
  • Edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content
  • Manage video library
  • Assist the Creative Solutions team with formatting, design and visual presentation aspects of marketing materials and presentations in conformance with firm branding standards. This includes but is not limited to PowerPoint decks, white papers, factsheets, RFPs, advertisements and newsletters.
  • Provide support with other dynamic content and graphics-intensive initiatives such as logos, employee photos and special conceptual design projects
Qualifications
Education:
  • College degree in Film or Television Production, Graphics Design or a related degree is preferred
  • [4-6 (Associate)]/[Over 6 (Senior Associate)] years of minimum work experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry
Experience Required:
Highly experienced in:
  • Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Acrobat Pro, etc.)
  • Video, animation, audio and post-production including:
    • Digital video editing with Adobe Premiere, still and motion graphics design with Adobe After Effects, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
